My Addiction, My 1967 Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer
 "Red Rhino"

          From this to.........this!

This is my current project. It is a 1967 Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer.  I bought it February 2000. It was all original, but not for long. I have replaced the engine, transmission, transfer case, both axles, put in bucket seats and painted it with Durabak bed liner. To name a few things. Here are the specs on it:

1980 AMC 360, Edelbrock intake, Rochester 750cfm Q-jet, Summit performance Cam and lifters. TH400 transmission w/Daytona floor shifter. D18 Twin Stick Transfer in a D20 case. Dana 44 front and rear axles w/4.56 gears. 35X12.50 BFG Mud Terrians on 1979 WT Cherokee factory 15x8" rims. 2" Rancho Add-A-Leafs. Spring over conversion, Shackle inversion in the rear (NO BLOCKS) and a three inch body lift for a total of 12 inches of lift. The whole Jeep is painted in Durabak bedliner for that "rough" look.

This is the first time I took it out. I was hooked right away!

After going out a couple of times I knew that I had to "upgrade" the running gear. It had a Dana 27 front and Dana 44 rear with 4:10 gears. The V8 vigilante put out plenty of power but parts are hard to come by. I decided to put Dana 44's front and rear and wanted to keep it jeep so I started to look for a donor vehicle. I found what I was looking for at a local dealer, a 1979 Cherokee Chief 4 door for $600. Drove it home and parked it in the garage and started to tear it down. I took the engine, tranny, t-case, and both axles. I also took all the little things to make everything work. I then stripped it down and sold all the other useful parts to the other Full Size Jeepers at www.ifsja.org When there was no more to be taken, it was off to the salvage yard........

Now something had to be done about the looks. Gray primer is nice but...........
